Trenton is a 1.27-square-mile town located deep into the Eastern parts of Edgefield County, South Carolina. It was formed in the late 1960s following the advent of the Charlotte, Columbia, and Augusta Railroad. The current town location was initially a stagecoach way station, popularly known for its Piney Woods tavern that offered itinerant meals and beds.
